New on the scene, this Irish pub and restaurant is a current happening place in downtown Norfolk. Jack's offers a wide variety of traditional Irish fare, and it won't cost you a pot of gold. Expect to see boxty, corned beef and cabbage, and, of course, shepherd's pie. The tri-level establishment has a downstairs bar area and dining room for smokers, a mezzanine for nonsmokers and a third level accessed by a separate set of stairs at the entrance. Dropped lighting hangs from high ceilings to give a warm glow. Wooden partitions inset with stained glass do a great job of dividing tables and adding a little intimacy. All of the rich-looking woodwork and tables are imported from Ireland. Jack Quinn's is a lot of fun, but it is not a place for the hard-of-hearing
