NORFOLK, VA. – Potholes are unsightly and dangerous craters in the road that can damage vehicles. The cold weather, snow and ice cause the asphalt to deteriorate and as the snow and ice clear after last weekend’s snowstorm, the City expects potholes to surface.
The City’s Street and Bridges Division is asking for citizens’ help so that potholes get repaired in a timely manner. Citizens are asked to report potholes on City streets and right-of-ways so that they can be repaired as quickly as possible. There are three convenient ways to report potholes: calling the 24-hour hotline at 823-4050, e-mailing the problem area to PWorks@norfolk.gov or using the convenient online form at www.norfolk.gov/PublicWorks/pothole.asp. When reporting the pothole, please provide the nearest address and cross street and a description of the damage.

Downtown Norfolk Workers We Want to Hear From You
Every other year, the City of Norfolk and Downtown Norfolk Council conduct a survey of those who work in Downtown Norfolk. The results help us track what downtown workers appreciate about downtown and where they would like to see improvement.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. We encourage your candor and very much appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and insights.
